MY “OFFICIAL” BIO

Katie Walsh is an award-winning author and brand communications executive who has spent more than two decades crafting stories for global brands. Her debut novel, Follow You Down, won the 2026 IndieReader Discovery Award for Chick Lit and was a finalist for the 2026 National Indie Excellence Award in Romantic Comedy. Her second novel, Take Me Anywhere, was released on September 25, 2026.

A lifelong bookworm and romantic comedy devotee, Katie grew up in New Hampshire, where she spent much of her childhood with her nose in a book while her sister tried unsuccessfully to lure her outdoors. She earned a degree in Communications from Plymouth State University and built a career in public relations, brand strategy, and corporate storytelling before finally pursuing her dream of writing fiction.

Today, she lives in Westwood, Massachusetts, with her husband and two children. When she’s not writing, she’s building over-the-top charcuterie boards, planning her next trip, or daydreaming about owning a wine cellar. Whether on the page, on screen, or in real life, she’ll always be a sucker for a good romantic comedy.

MORE ABOUT ME

I am an indie author who writes contemporary romance and what you’d generally consider “beach reads.” I like to focus on love (of course!) second chances, nostalgia, travel, female friendship and what might have happened if you’d taken a different road. So far, my main female characters (FMCs) have been age 40+, and I’m finding that is an underserved category for a growing elder millennial population. This is a hobby for me, so TBH…I write about things that I like and am interested in, make me laugh, and bring me joy. It’s been amazing to take this journey and find readers who connect with what I write!
